We sadly parted with our dear dog Quest on 9/9/10.
History:
Reed and Laura Morisky founded their guide service in 1984 with the goal of providing fishing trips that they themselves would want to go on. Their first year consisted of walk-in trips to spring fed creeks and rivers in Alaska's vast interior. The next year they used a motorized canoe, two years later a 16' jet boat, then a 17.5' jet boat. Today they have a 21' Wooldridge welded aluminum jet boat that comfortably carries six passengers. The area that they fish has been extensively explored by Reed, who has served as a consultant to biologists researching the areas rich fisheries.
Philosophy:
To provide our customers a safe, comfortable and informative outdoor and fishing experience that exceeds their expectations on all levels.
To maintain this high quality fishery, we have followed a self management philosophy of catch and release for Arctic Grayling and female salmon. This has resulted in maintaining high catch rates in this unique fishery.
Your Hosts:
Reed and Laura Morisky arrived in Alaska in the spring of 1981. They are both life long anglers who came from families of avid anglers.
Reed is a licensed U.S. Coast Guard Captain and a registered Sport Fishing Guide. He was selected as Sport Fishing Guide of the Year for 1995. Their guide service has been featured in many national fishing publications, as well as several nationally televised fishing programs shown on ESPN and on Larry Csonka's “North to Alaska.”
Laura is a registered Sport Fishing Guide and is an avid angler who loves to show others what our vast fishing area has to offer. Coming to Alaska introduced her to fly fishing which is now her preference. She worked many years behind the scenes lending a hand with logistical support and reservations. Laura's skills extend to the layout, design and upkeep of this web site.
